Editing the Default Groups

Adhere to the following guidelines when editing the default groups to avoid negative impacts on the workflow:

• Do not delete team members.
• Do not uncheck required tasks.
• Only additional approval tasks should be added to the team.

 

1. From the SmartSolve Portal Page, click the Home tab.
2. In the Setup and Policy section, click Setup.
3. In the System Wide section, click Group.
   Result: The Groups window is displayed.
4. Click the for the default group.
5. Click Role.
   Result: The default group's Role tab is displayed.
6. Check the checkbox of the role to be edited. Click Action > Edit.
   Result: The Role entry window is displayed.

7. Edit the Level field, if needed.
8. Enter or zoom and select a role. Only actors with this role can be entered.
9. Enter or zoom and select a preferred actor. Only actors with the defined role can be entered.
10. Click the drop down button and select the substitute option. If you select None, then only this assigned actor can sign-off.
11. Edit or skip the Required field. Unchecking this option at this time could create issues in the workflow later.

12. Click the Save button.
    Result: The group has been edited.
